Coffee & Honeycomb
Summer is here in the midwest and I am soaking it all up -- literally! Every weekend you can find me laying out by the pool, throwing the football around, or enjoying a drink on the rooftop. I can not get enough of the weather these days. Summer, please stay forever.

 The one thing about the summer though is that it makes me so lazy to get ready - does anyone else feel that way?! The idea of putting on makeup or styling my hair sounds less than ideal in this humidity. So how does a girl stay chic in the heat? Easy, just own the breezy summer vibe. Reach for anything easy, breezy, covergirl. But really, apply hot pink lipstick (because who wasn't obsessed with Britt's lips on The Bachelor) to add a pop of color. Sunglasses + lipstick totally completes a look without even trying. Find accessories to dress up your outfit that are light-weight and match with anything. Lastly, don't forget to stay cool and protect yourself from the sun. Always wear SPF (even on your lips) and cover your head when you can.

    Reading your post and wishing for summer. Its winter hear and I am doing the total opposite . Instead of staying chic in summer I'm staying warm in winter!

      LOLL oh no!!! To be honest, I'm a (tad) jealous for some cold because it is 90 degrees and HUMID. I am sweating just sitting here. Girl, you do you and stay chic in that winter!

    I've been loving Baby Lips in neon pink this summer (can't remember the actual name of it). And I personally love the smell of sunscreen, so I don't use any other scents when I have it on.

    I absolutely love baby lips! They're so good! Right now I am loving my strappy sandals from DSW and my gorgeous rose gold metal style sunnies from The Loft (they seriously have some great sunnies)!

      Yes! I've gotten all my sunglasses from The Loft since last summer (plus they're affordable, so if I lose them I won't feel super guilty.) But rose gold sounds SO CUTE. I don't think I saw rose gold sunnies there - man now I'll have to check them out! And yes, strappy sandals are everything. I can already tell I like your style. ;)

      Yeah! Straw hats make outfits look so complete (and cover up my hair if I haven't washed it in a day or so. Is that TMI? hehe) But yes, good luck finding one!!! XO.
